For Google, your privacy has a price, and it is accepting bids! IMP Explains Further Why Google's "Privacy" Move Is Just A Profit Snatch.

Google announced it will no longer be passing on search-query data to websites when users are logged into Google accounts such as Gmail, unless you pay them through their Adwords marketing platform. In future, when logged in, users who perform a search on Google.com do securely, using a protocol that encrypts their data So that the owners of the websites they visit can no longer see which search terms led them there. A source from IMP said “It is extremely hard to believe that this change has been made with only privacy in mind.”

"As search becomes an increasingly customized experience, we recognize the growing importance of protecting the personalized search results we deliver. As a result, we’re enhancing our default search experience for signed-in users. Over the next few weeks, many of you will find yourselves redirected to https://www.google.com (note the extra “s”) when you’re signed in to your Google Account. This change encrypts your search queries and Google’s results page."The managing Director of IMP has said “The whole move is just to make Adwords Marketing that bit more attractive”

Experts feel that Google is not really concerned with users’ privacy, but rather seeks to gain significant profits from this venture. Google has been distancing itself from unencrypted web pages for quite some time now. Some privacy advocates have been pleased with its strategy. However, the SEO industry is not completely sold on Google’s efforts.IMP’s managing director has commented on this, saying, “With ‘experts’ commenting that Google is not concerned with user’s privacy says alot for the recent changes”
